The restaurant
Had dinner in the restaurant and was served by caitlin. She was friendly, attentive but gave us space. Very great service from her. Good choice of food and it was very tasty
Brilliant
Food was amazing. Caitlin was great at the bar will be returning!
Bar service
Food and service was amazing, Caitlin was an absolute delight. Will be returning
Great spa day
Brenda gave me a great neck, shoulder and back massage. She helped me feel comfortable and relaxed. The halloumi Caesar salad was delicious. The steam room, sauna, pool and lounge chairs were good.
Great stay, great staff
I stayed with my adult child in March 2026. It was a short overnight as we were looking at Oxford Brookes University (10 minute easy drive to Park and Ride). My son chose the hotel because of the swimming pool and gym, they did not disappoint, nor did the sauna and steam room. We contacted the hotel prior to arrival to query the facility opening times, the response was fast and very courteous. Upon arrival there was plentiful parking. We were warmly greeted by reception staff who told us the location of spa and pool area, where and when breakfast was available for the morning, and information about dining and room service. The room was clean and spacious, the robes were hung in the wardrobe, there was a hairdryer, iron and ironing board in the room. The view over the tennis courts and Oxfordshire countryside was delightful. Breakfast was good, full English, cereals, pastries, toast and fresh fruits. Additional items available, freshly cooked to order. Enough staff around to replenish and take kitchen orders. Check out was also easy with lovely staff on hand. The hotel layout is complex but staff are friendly, understanding and helpful. Overall a lovely stay, we would choose this hotel again when in the area.
Absolute pleasure to stay here, so attentive, really felt spoilt and attended to, highly recommend, we are going back
From start to finish, we had a great stay. All staff were unfailingly polite and anything we asked for or queried was dealt with so efficiently, that on one occasion they beat us to our room! We had a call and were asked by reception staff at various points if everything was OK with the room and items we had booked. Attention to detail was excellent and we felt very much that our comfort and enjoyment was genuinely a priority not just a task to be performed. The room was suite and of a very good size, with a seperate toilet to the bathroom - perfect. Everywhere was clean and well maintained and there were staff around to ask questions of or serve as needed. Wait times anywhere were either non existent or were not long and reception made recommendation of places to go and experiences. it is well placed for several excursions and we will be going back, more than once to try them all out. I have an unusual allergy and at one point the chef came out to check something was suitable for the afternoon tea. The music in the bar was at the right level definitely there but not overpowering. There were lots of relaxed people around, clearly enjoying the atmosphere.
Great place to celebrate any occasion!!
Me and my partner had a great experience celebrating his birthday. The room was spacious and mini bar was a great surprise. We had a treatment massage for both and it was very good. Dinner was excellent and great service. We left very happy and relaxed with all the services.
The outside doesn’t give away the great vibe inside in the bar and restaurant. Never ending seating areas and views
The outside of the building is lovely but the inside is wonderful, such a lovely vibe. The staff were all polite and very helpful. The spa area was so relaxing. Loved the late check out of 1pm, made all the difference. Breakfast was fabulous, fantastic standard of food and so much choice. I’m definitely coming back!
Staff really went above and beyond
We did a treatment and a stay at the hotel for my partners birthday. The entire experience could not be faulted. The treatment was relaxing and informative before we went and used the facilities and checked in. The staff did an excellent job of making my partner feel special on his birthday. We will definitely have to book again.
Great service
Lovely relaxed environment to come back to after visiting the historical Oxford centre. Great service from start to finish. Leisure staff were very accommodating and helpful. Had a lovely dinner in the restaurant, Tom and his staff were very welcoming and worked extremely hard. Buffet breakfast lots to choose from and always topped up. I recommend this hotel.
A nice hotel for a break.
My husband and I spent one night at the hotel as a treat for my birthday. We stayed as part of a Groupon offer. The parking was handy and plenty. We got an upgrade on the day. This cam with a complimentary mini bar, a lovely surprise. Staff were all friendly, polite and helpful. A lovely big spacious hotel. Food wise: we had a lovely dinner, the choice on the menu was good, all the food we had we enjoyed. Breakfast was very nice and plentiful. So many choices and a wide variety of foods. The room was clean, and although our room faced the car park, it was still quiet. I used the spa and had a treatment. I enjoyed the pampering session, again everything was clean. We didn't use other leisure facilities, so I can't comment. The only one downside was I found the room to be cold. There was no extra blankets/quilts in the room. We had a very thin cover on the bed, and we couldn't find any controls on how to turn up the heating. As it was just one night, and we were not in the room a lot, we didn't ask for assistance with this, so not sure how this would have been dealt with. But overall, a great experience, and I would visit and stay at this hotel again.
Good hotel to relax in
I enjoy my stay when I am here with good facilities including the swimming pool, spa, sauna and steam room. The staff are friendly, particularly Ali at the breakfast service who goes out of her way to help.
Spa girly break
I have just come back from an overnight spa break with my cousin and daughter. We’ve stayed here a number of times due to the perfect location. A trip to Bicester village before checking in. Our room was clean, warm and had a lovely view. Our spa treatments were amazing and we loved chilling by the pool before getting ready for dinner. Our allowance was £35 each with good menu choices, a couple of issues with my daughter’s dinner which staff dealt with. They were apologetic and helpful. Tom the operations manager was especially helpful, understanding and professional. We dealt with him a few times and he is a credit to the hotel. Wish they hadn’t have taken the pool table in the recent refurb we missed it but enjoyed card games in the bar. Breakfast was delicious and we had a good nights sleep. Will be back later in the year as usual!
excellent stay
Excellent stay . lovely to have an upgrade for a special birthday, room and bed very spaious and comfortable. very friendly helpful staff. restaurant food delicious , hotel so good we stayed an extra night. good location
Treatments amazing, spa is average
Great treatments. Ti was fantastic and a reason to return. Great knowledge & massage. Such a fruity experience. The changing room showers out of action and works ongoing, which meant it was noisy on site. That was disappointing. Overall, treatments were great, the rest was average.
Very nice hotel and lovely staff
Hotel was lovely and the room was quite large and clean. Bed was comfortable. The room was quite cold when I arrived as the heater didn’t seem to be working properly but when I spoke to reception they rectified this immediately and my room was toasty warm after. The food was amazing and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. The spa I had 2 treatments with Asha and they were exceptional. I’ve never felt more relaxed for that alone I would be back. I’d say the pool is more of a hotel pool than spa pool but still very nice. I was told by a spa member that the sauna had just been redone a few days before but that I should avoid the steam room as this had not been redone and had mould in it. They mentioned that a few people got chest infections from it. I stayed clear of the steam room but enjoyed the sauna and pool. I enjoyed my stay and would likely come back.
Great touring location, clean, friendly, welcoming and cheerful staff throughout
Last Sunday we had a two night stay, dinner bed and breakfast to celebrate a 'big' birthday with friends who also stayed. We were impressed by the facilities at the Oxford Belfry together with the warm welcome we received on arrival and during our stay, despite it being busy. Good value, very clean. The spacious room, delicious restaurant food and team lead by Tomas made for a superb evening celebration on Monday evening. In particular, we’d like to acknowledge the excellent reception team, especially Sal who couldn’t have done any more to make our stay more enjoyable.
Perfect base for a few days when visiting the Beautiful Cotswolds
We recently stayed at the Oxford Belfry Hotel whilst visiting the beautiful Cotswolds, we were very impressed by the spacious room, delicious restaurant food and the excellent staff. The warm welcome we received on arrival was much appreciated In particular we’d like to acknowledge the excellent reception team especially Sal and Lucja who couldn’t have done any more to make our stay more enjoyable, they are both a valued asset to the Team and the Hotel. We will certainly be returning.
Very good value with excellent service
My wife and I had a birthday breakfast with our three adult children and one adult grandson. It was an excellent experience. The hotel is situated a few minutes drive from the M40 and has plenty of free car parking. The dining area and available tables were very clean. We had a range of foods and drinks which were very good quality at reasonable prices. We were served by Sam and Seth over a three hour period and their servicewas efficieent, polite and pleasnt. We have used this hotel previously and will certainly be returning.
A comfortable hotel with good facilities, but some reservations.
The location is very convenient to the motorway, and parking was easy. We stayed for 2 nights, including dinner on the first night. Our room was spacious and fairly well appointed, if a little tired (the en-suite shaving mirror was badly fitted and virtually unusable, and the rainwater shower head was clogged with limescale). The spa and pool were well appointed, and are an attractive addition to the hotel facilities. Our dinner was not a pleasant experience; our starters took 40 minutes to arrive, and were wrong, and our mains were good, but also slow to arrive, and were served without the accompanying vegetables; when we asked, we were told that the kitchen had run out of kale, and were then offered an alternative (but we had to ask)! The prices were high as well for the quality and service. Breakfasts were better, with plenty of choices, and helpful waiting staff. All in all, we enjoyed our stay, but felt disappointed with the dinner experience.
